"TIROLER

WIRTSHAUS"

The Grünwalderhof is a member of the "Tiroler Wirtshauskultur" association.

The basic elements of this initiative:

  • appreciation of Tyrolean cuisine
  • use of fresh farm produce, produce from the local waters and forests
  • special focus on authentic atmosphere and architecture

With its large hall, the cosy parlours and bays the Grünwalderhof has stylishly preserved Tyrolean tradition. The same holds true for our selection of fresh regional and seasonal produce: The meat for our roast pork and veal comes from Neustift im Stubaital, and our “Marend” featuring speck, grey cheese and farmers’ bread comes directly from the Schlicker Alm hut.   Our farmer from Thaur delivers radish and salad. Chives and herbs grow in the Grünwalderhof’s private garden. During the winter months we do without strawberries. We are sure to have blueberries though, especially at the time we can pick them fresh from the mountains of the nearby Stubai Valley – and this is exactly why they taste so nice! Our wine menu offers wines from renowned Austrian vintners and is completed by rare wines from the Italian Tyrol and Italy.
